Now that The Easies - our second addition to The Perfect Trousers Family - have come out, the obvious question arises: how do they differ from The Longs? And although there are some evident similarities between the two styles, there are most certainly some aspects that set them apart. Let’s touch on them now.
The ultimate fit
Although they share a similar look, the fit of The Longs is slightly more slim compared to the fit of The Easies. The Easies have a more comfortable look, however these could still be the most smart looking sweatpants you have even seen. Look dressed, feel relaxed with The Easies.
Soft, softer, softest
Potentially the most notable difference between the two is the choice of fabric. The Longs are made of a high-quality Oeko-Tex certified woven cotton twill with a soft finish. We have added 3% elastane for a comfortable stretchy feel. For The Easies, we selected a premium knitted fabric that consists of 73% GOTS certified organic cotton, 17% polyamide and 10% elastane. This composition makes the fabric even softer and stretchier. The Easies can be considered the most comfortable of the two, but slightly less smart. However, it all depends on how you style them. Wear The Easies with a shirt, merino pullover & smart sneakers and you are ready for (almost) everything.
Buckle up
While both styles use the same zipper fly, the button that sits above is slightly different. The Longs have a patented sliding button. The slider button is invisible from the outside, contributing to a super clean look. The Easies have a traditional button closure with an extended fly. The iconic dark blue & white buttons are, as you may expect, engraved with MR MARVIS. The Easies come with branded cords on the inside to ensure the perfect fit at any time and no matter what you are up to.
Get elasticated
Finally, one for the connoisseurs! Looking closely, you’ll see that the part of the waistband that is elasticated is slightly wider on The Easies compared to The Longs. This matches the more comfortable look & fit of our vision on the perfect sweatpants. Also, we skipped the belt loops on The Easies since they come with cords.
